🚀 Installation and Setup
Installation from Mac App Store
- Download Quick New File from the Mac App Store
- Open the Quick New File app
- Follow the on-screen instructions
- Go to System Preferences → Extensions → Finder Extensions
- Check the box next to «Quick New File»
- Restart Finder (optional): ⌘ + ⌥ + Esc and select Finder
For macOS Ventura (13.0) and later

Why don’t I see «Quick New File» in the context menu?
Solutions:
- Verify that the extension is enabled in System Preferences

🔧 Troubleshooting
Error: «Cannot create file»
Possible causes:
- Lack of write permissions in the folder
- System-protected folder
- Full or read-only disk
Solutions:
- Try in another folder (Desktop, Documents)
- Verify that you have write permissions
- Check available disk space
Extension disables itself
This can happen after macOS updates. Solution:
- Go to System Preferences → Extensions
- Re-enable «Quick New File»
- If it persists, reinstall the app from Mac App Store

Automatic file naming
Quick New File automatically handles name conflicts:
- If «file.txt» exists → creates «file_1.txt»
