What is ClipMason?
ClipMason is an intelligent clipboard manager for macOS that automatically detects the type of content you copy and offers contextual actions to transform it. It supports text, images, URLs, colors, files and rich text.
What version of macOS do I need?
ClipMason requires macOS 14 (Sonoma) or later.
What’s the difference between the free version and Pro?
The free version includes a 25-clip history with basic functionality. ClipMason Pro (one-time purchase of $9.99) unlocks unlimited history, all transformation actions, OCR with Apple Vision, collections, snippets, Paste Stack and all advanced features.
Is it a subscription?
No. ClipMason Pro is a one-time purchase. Pay once and get access to all features forever, including future updates.
Is my data safe?
Yes. ClipMason stores everything locally on your Mac. There are no external servers, no data sent to the cloud and no telemetry. It also respects the ConcealedType standard from password managers and allows you to exclude apps from monitoring.
How do I open the quick popup?
Press ⌘⇧V (Command + Shift + V) at any time to open the ClipMason popup window and quickly access your clip history.
Can I exclude apps from monitoring?
Yes. Go to Settings > Privacy and add the apps you want to exclude. Password managers like 1Password or Bitwarden are already automatically protected via ConcealedType.
What is the Paste Stack?
The Paste Stack lets you add multiple clips to a queue and paste them sequentially using ⌘⇧V. It’s ideal for moving multiple items between apps or filling out forms.
How does OCR work?
ClipMason uses Apple Vision (built into macOS) to extract text from copied images. Select an image in your history and use the «Extract Text (OCR)» action. The recognized text will be copied to your clipboard.
