Quick New File is a macOS extension that integrates with Finder to enable quick creation of common files (TXT, MD, PY, JS, HTML, CSS, JSON, README) from the contextual menu. The application works completely locally on the user’s device.

Quick New File does NOT collect, store, process, or transmit any personal user data. The application:

Does not access personal information
Does not read content from existing files
Does not connect to the internet
Does not use analytics or tracking services
Does not share information with third parties

Folder access: To create files in user-selected locations
Finder integration: To appear in the contextual menu

3.3 Data Storage
